I’d like to wish my husband and my dad a Happy Father’s Day. I know there are people out there who can’t do that, so I changed the title of this piece. Parenting is a hard task no matter who undertakes it. We constantly question ourselves and wonder if we are doing the right thing, saying the right thing and behaving in a manner that we would want repeated by our children. Sometimes we make mistakes. Sometimes we knock it out of the park, or in my husband’s case, we make a goooooaaaalllll. Ahem, soccer fans get this.
I could tell countless stories of how my husband and my father have helped me over the years, but I hope they know how much they are loved and appreciated. So today, tell that special parent in your life how much they mean to you. Just a simple thank you for being there will do.
