Healthy Habits

From a food market in Rome

Did you know that eating ginger lowers your blood pressure, that garlic releases endorphins and tomato frequently can reduce the chance for many types of cancers by more than fifty percent? I know all these things and more, but unfortunately I'm not always putting my knowledge into practice.
Fruits and vegetables used to be the most substantial part of my diet when I lived at home. Ever since I've started studying eight years ago, cooking for only one person became a chore. I have been eating too many defrosted pizzas, macaroni dishes and can soups. My diet becomes even worse around exam times like these. I've realized the last couple of weeks that I need to change this drastically, mainly for the benefit of my own health.
So I turn to you for advice and help, because I really, really need it. Where do you go to become inspired to cook healthier? Do you know any sites that promote cooking with a lot of vegetables? Maybe you know some good recipes?
