Home Sweet Home

Home is where the heart is and my heart is a desi chic!
I love dressing up. Not just myself but others too. And that includes non-humans as well. Yes, I used to dress my dog when I was a girl and then moved to dressing the fridge when I learnt the art of crotchet.  I graduated to dressing people then. Helped them shop for shoes and advised them on which handbag goes well with which shoe to, how to wear your hair. I have always loved clubbing desi with chic. A Rajasthani  lehnga with white crop top or, a heavily embodied top with a simple jeans can make any girl a diva. Imagine if you could dress your home in the same way! Ethnic one day, contemporary the next; cool lace and sheer in the summers and warm hues of orange and yellow on a rainy day.  They say dreams do come true especially if you blog with Blogadda.
When Blogadda flashed the idea of re-do your house courtesy, makemyhome.com, I jumped to grab it. Why would I want to miss the chance of dressing my house? Enter the mentioned site and you will be spoilt for choice.
Since I am going to be alone with a book this Ganesh Chaturti, it was a good enough reason for me to indulge in a bit of online shopping. One look at the red cushion, and I knew what I wanted. I quickly picked up 3 things: jeel koko cushions to line my beige couch, wood clay rangoli to beautify my foyer and a jasmine fragrance pot pourri set to set the mood to relax and enjoy my new home.
As I key in the door of my apartment, I am now welcomed to the sight of the vibrant rangoli and cheerfulness of the jasmine fragrance that envelopes the entire house. What once was a dull beige monster couch occupying my living room is now an all new vibrant place that promises rest with a sense of luxury with its rich red and gold. Now this is a house where my desi chic heart is. A special thanks to makemyhome for this feeling.  This post is a part of Makemyhome activity at BlogAdda.com
