Homoistopheles ( a Self Created Term Representing a Merge Between Human and Mephistopheles)

Often regarded as being blasphemous by members of the societies I am supposed to be representing , the process of fencing  my thoughts from forming into words really agitates me.

I ponder upon the restrictions of thoughts, words, means of expressing yourself caused by cultural values, laws and religions quite a bit.

Out of the three what intrigues me the most is culture and heritage. Being a beautiful yet devious concept simultaneously. In my opinion culture is something everyone embodies , you may not abide by government laws or laws of religion. But somehow you are abiding by your culture whether you realize it or not , Culture is innate.

I believe as though culture carries two major sub divisions:-

1. A platform of vast knowledge and development of human tolerance and acceptance. I believe the variety of cultures around the world has enabled a human to understand another human better and at the same time to some extend help us understand the process of mental evolution of various societies each bound by their own cultural values.

2. While, I often feel as though the variations in culture is the root to all evil. I do believe social obligations, behaviors and laws are highly influenced by culture and heritage. Various religions may or may not be a result of cultures as well, I have no say in that. But, I feel certain religious practices are often influenced by cultural values rather than religious values. So, at times a beautiful concept of culture tends to creates huge rifts amongst various societies as people take offense when their lifestyles, behaviors, obligations, law systems, religious practices are attacked which in my opinion  are subdivisions of culture.

So what happens when you are stripped of your culture and all that it creates along side it?. What happens if today you were told that  you belong to no country, your have no social obligations, you are , no law, no religion ,liable to no one. Just you and your free will.

It led me to paint this :-sila

It depicts two facades of this situation how you perceive it is up to you. I feel that either all these social and cultural boundaries makes us what is perceived as acceptable and once stripped of those obligations we will morph int a horrific power hunger, free willed monster.

Or are have these divisions and differences created power crazed monsters and only stripping the divisions and bounds of cultures will turn us into humane members of society.
