I remember when my dad is still here, he used to buy us polvoron in different flavors especially when it’s salary day! Whoohoo! All of us (incl. my mom and younger brother) love polvoron as our dessert after meals or even just a snack to munch. Today, I want to share with you the best tasting polvoron in the country!

If polvoron sounds new to you, it’s a popular Filipino dessert made with toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar and melted butter then pressed in a special mold. If a Filipino is about to leave the country, it’s one of the best “pasalubong”.

How it all started and what makes it special?

They have been making the best tasting polvoron since 1988. It’s amazing how it has grown from a 2-man staff, now provides employment for around 65 men and women.

HOP: House of Polvoron only use natural ingredients. Their products don’t contain artificial flavors and coloring. The ensure customer satisfaction by selecting the raw materials carefully.

Their products are neatly packed and comes with different flavors. For regular flavors they have a box of 18pcs., Assorted has 20pcs., and for coated it contains 12pcs.

Flavors Available:

1. Classic – the way it was traditionally made with milk, butter, sugar.
2. Cashew – cashew nuts are freshly roasted to perfection.
3. Cookies and cream – crushed chocolate cookies blended with creamy polvoron.
4. Crisped Rice – the all time favorite variant, rice crispies are added to the polvoron.
5. Pili – pili nuts are indigenous to the Philippines. They have nice texture and flavor.
6. Purple Yam – also know as the purple sweet potato added to the polvoron.
7. Choco Covered – crisp rice polvoron coated with luscious chocolate flavor.
8. Green Tea Covered – crisp rice polvoron coated with your favorite green tea flavor.

For those who have issue with sugar, HOP now has Zero Sugar Added variant that’s available at their selected branches: Megamall, Glorietta, Trinoma, and Market! Market!.

SM Megamall – first cart of HOP opened in 2003. They also have other branches: Glorietta, Trinoma, Market! Market!.
