Before, my way of thinking is I have a lot of things to do and going to the gym which will take 3 hours since 1 our travel one way, then 1 hour gym class, will take so much of my time. I need to finish a lot of backlogs and so on. But after attending the event I realized I can start with eating healthy then as I go on, I learned to include working out as part of my weekly schedule.

GREEK SALAD WITH LEMON VINAIGRETTE
Makes 1 Mason Jar

For the Vinaigrette:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp lemon juice or calamansi juice
- 1/2 tsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 1/8 tsp salt
- small pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 tsp parsley, chopped

Procedures:
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, honey, salt, pepper, and parsley.
2. Pour the dressing in the bottom of 16 ounce mason jar then begin to layer salad.
3. Start with the chickpeas, violet cabbage, cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, black olives and feta cheese.
4. Place the lid on the mason jar, shake, and eat immediately.

CHOCO-BANANA-STRAWBERRY OVERNIGHT OATS

You need:
- rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (I prefer rice milk or almond milk)
- 1/ cup greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup sliced bananas
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 small bar, crushed dark chocolate

Procedures:
1. Pour rolled oats, milk, greek yogurt, peanut butter, and chia seed into the mason jar and mix.
2. Layer your toppers: bananas, strawberries, dark chocolate.
3. Mix everything and put in the fridge overnight.
Enjoy your yummy breakfast the next morning!

When it comes to exercising, you don't need to sweat out in the gym for 2-3 hours when starting your fitness journey. By simply walking your way to work, taking the stairs instead of elevator, walking your dog, or a 30 minutes job in the morning is enough to get you started. The man in the photo looks fit right? He walks his way to work everyday. The distance is about to barangays from his home to his office. Imagine doing that everyday, how many calories you get to burn? How your stamina will improve right?

You can also follow simple workout routine at home. There are thousands of available video tutorials on YouTube that you can follow. I personally like Kayla Itsines and Blogilates. No expensive equipment needed too! Water bottles can be your DIY dumbbells.
