How to Wash Your Face

Posted on the 24 May 2012 by Latinaprpro @latinaprpro
I don't recall ever seeing my mother wash her face with soap and water.  But I do remember seeing a white glass jar with a pink top, and label with three women illustrated in the front of the jar.

"Crema Tres Caras," (Jergen's All-Purpose Face Cream) as my mother fondly calls it, has been a part of her beauty regime for her entire adult life.
Unfortunately, figuring out how to wash my face wasn't as easy for me.
Not only is my skin sensitive to the environment and to most beauty products, at best it's oily in the summer and dry in the winter - most other times, it's what is commonly described as "combination skin."
To add insult to injury, I have never-ending Thyroid issues, that pretty much guarantee that most facial cleansing products will either leave my skin irritated and raw, oily, or with traces of make-up.
Thankfully, I have found two amazing cleansers that I highly recommend if you have sensitive skin, mildly oily or combination skin.
In the Morning/Shower

Two-pumps of this amazing cleanser is all I need to gently wash my skin every morning, without the need of a toner!  It's effective-enough to remove any product from the night before, but gentle enough as to not over-dry my skin.  My skin feels smooth and clean after washing my face with this PTR gentle foaming cleanser - and ready to moisturize my skin to start-off my day on the right track!
In the Evening

After wearing make-up for eight plus hours and running around Los Angeles, my skin craves the de-polluting powers of the tulip tree extract that this cleanser boasts on it's list of ingredients.  Not only does the cleanser smell absolutely amazing, it also contains other hydrating ingredients that recharge and plump-up my skin to get it ready to absorb my evening facial serums and moisturizer.
Now that I shared my favorite two facial cleansers and how I was my face, I would love to read about your favorite products to clean your face - both morning and night!
