I Didn't Get to These in 2012, but I Have Great Hopes for 2013. What Did You Plan to Do but Didn't?#reverb12

Besottment-ddreverb12-1This Reverb prompt is from... Besottment/Paper Relics. Think about the way you might respond.

What was something you planned to do in 2012 but didn't?
What was it, and why did you not accomplish it?

Primarily my plans were about places I wanted to go and didn’t get to go there.

My family’s Great Southwest Roadtrip was cut in half. No Albuquerque and Santa Fe or Denver. We went to lots of places, yes, but I would have enjoyed immersing myself in Zion and at least take a driving tour of Bryce Canyon!

The good thing about Bryce and Zion is they are only about eight hours away, so I will go back sooner rather than later.

I also thought I would go to Dana Point this Summer and certainly the Bay Area and I had hoped to visit my parents in Flagstaff. We were supposed to spend Christmas there, but that plan was halted as well. The latter was due to a family gathering for my parent's sixtieth anniversary in San Diego, so it is cool... though I still smart a bit from not being able to go for the first time in 15 years! I wish the party was in Flagstaff!

I haven’t been to the Bay Area since April and I haven’t visited Dana Point at all.

My nemesis was, as always, time, time, time and being a Mom, looking for what my children need first, all the time.

I also planned to work more this Fall, but with my melanoma… I almost didn’t want to bring that up… but alas, it is so. I may need more surgery in January, but I have decided even with that I will do my virtual work: teleclasses, ecourses, etc.

I’m looking forward to a healthy – or at least more aware of my physical as well as my spiritual, emotional and creative needs.

What did you plan to do but didn't?

Happy Reverbing, My Loves!
