I Have Found the Perfect Makeup Traincase for Me!

Posted on the 28 August 2014 by Genzelkisses

I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect makeup traincase that will suit my needs. There are pretty much a lot of makeup traincases that are available to day but I only want something that’s not too pricey, bulky, and heavy. Imagine a heavy traincase by itself then load it with your makeups! I can see myself losing a rib before I can even do the makeup of my client. *LOL* Okay I’m exaggerating on that but it’s true right? When you go to a client, you don’t only bring a traincase, you have the hairtools (if you’re doing hairstyling too), mirror (I bring a separate mirror with bulbs), and a makeup chair (I’m still looking for the perfect one for me, if you can recommend any, feel free to let me know).

I mentioned to a co-hair and makeup artist that I’m looking for a traincase and actually planned to buy the one from MissBellaPH. But then she made me realize that it’s too small for our makeups and suggested that she will look for one that will suit me. TADA! She showed me the photo and I’m sold. The best part is the price. It’s only P2,000.00 for this. I’ve seen this online and the cheapest one I’ve seen is from Shopwiserph, they sell this for P2,200.00. I believe they also have this in Beauty Bar but I’m not so sure if they still have stocks, and it’s for P2,350.00. Saved by the bell! This for 2k? Great deal!

It’s in padded black canvass so it’s definitely lightweight. I can even carry it with one hand and raise it up, which you can’t do with heavy traincases. It only goes heavy with my makeups in it. I love the secure strap on both sides. It also has this zipper pocket at the back where I put my business cards and other stuff that fit.

Oh that zipper pocket is where I put my facial tissues and wet wipes. I tried putting my makeup brushes but it looked so bulky there.

It’s so spacious and comes with a strap. Those spaces that you can see round the rectangular box, work as another storage space. I can put my box of falsies and mixing plate in there.

Another great thing about this, you can remove the literal box if you only want to use the bag. I like to use them together to secure my makeups.

The bottom part of each tray is padded.

Very handy! I put a business card in that see-through pocket in the middle for added personal touch. You cannot do this with heavy traincases because they are so heavy just by themselves. As a makeup artist, I always aim to travel as light as possible that’s why travel cases and bottles are now my best friends.

This makeup traincase also comes with a strap. This is very helpful. So I travel with this, a huge mirror on my other shoulder, and hair tools + personal stuff in a backpack. When you see me, say hi to Dora the Explorer! Haha. I’m still saving for a traincase trolley with legs and lights, makeup chair, and a Zuca makeup trolley but for now, this setup works great for me.

By the way, the other end of the strap was broken yesterday when I was out for a magazine photoshoot and I have remedied it already with my DIY powers! Haha! I’ll show you on my next post. It’s also helpful when you accidentally break other bag’s strap.

That’s it! I hope you enjoy this post as much as I do. Let me know if you want me to share the makeups and tools that I bring with me on my makeup gigs or if you have any post/video request! :) If you need this kind of traincase, you can email or pm me and I can give you my friend’s details so you can contact her.
