I Love 2NE1 But I Don’t Want A 2:1!

NOT THE ’2:1′ I HAD IN MIND

I finished University last month, although I officially graduate this fall.

I am very happy to say that I will graduate with first class honours (along with my twinny who I am very proud of!). Thanks Henney!

Henney seems to lead to good things – called me biased or just clutching at straws, but I feel very proud of my o.c character! Although we go way back, I guess this is her final form (Hak Nam Henney). Her name ‘came to me’ years ago in Tesco when I noticed a bottle of ‘Hennessy’ whisky from the corner of my eye. Fun fact of the day.

The final major project was at times challenging because of the unexpected problems, I guess that comes with the territory of using software and computers. I learnt so much by ironing out the issues and getting past that brick wall. I was 100% self-taught on this project (and 98% of the other projects!!) so I had no option but to somehow resolve the problems myself. Sometimes this was pretty straight forward but the ‘bsod’ (blue screen of death) took a good four days to resolve and thankfully I didn’t lose any work because of my bad habit of backing up backed up copies of work and never deleting them. Hello ‘HenneyScn7 (1), HenneyScn7 (2), HenneyScn7 (3), etc. ಠ_ಠ

I am still very infatuated with the Kowloon Walled City and of course little Henney. Although I am not sure how many miles she has left in her, do I retire her now or do I bring her back out for a sequel?

Cancel that, I’m not done with her yet!

I wanted a little keepsake to mark the end of uni.

I didn’t exactly want to get a replica of the Kowloon Walled City made and even if I did, where would I store it? Would I want to look at that in 5, 10 years time? Maybe not. Part of its beauty is the organic, dank infrastructure. I’m actually just rambling to pad out this post because all along I knew exactly what I wanted.

My own Henney!

I found a lady who makes superb dolls (her animal dolls have a particular endearing quality to them). However, I could tell that she would be my best bet for creating a doll that is sweet yet quite quirky in an odd way.

Oh, I should add that this post is not sponsored – I wanted to share Henney with you so I thought it would only be fair to include her creator.

Fast forward a few months & a plane ride later and I can happily report that Henney made it. Although it wasn’t a straightforward journey because she was held at ransom at the Post Office until I bailed her out by sorting out the ‘Tax Handling Charges’ -_-.

Anyway, Henney in doll-form is really quite delightful!

Yep, she looks different from the board. I went for a one-off ‘steam punk Henney’ look to make the board more eye-catching at N.D.
