What’s Dropbox?

Dropbox is my first cloud sync storage. At first I wanted a online storage to share files among my group mates. I googled and lots of options came up. Sugarsync, Skydrive, 4shared, Google Drive, Box, iCloud, and etc.
The reason I picked Dropbox was it appeared the first in my google search (Smile!). Good brand name. Easy to use feature. All this made me started using it. It made my school projects became easy.
Years go by, when other cloud sync storages come up with better features, I am swayed too. Owning a Sugarsync and Skydrive, each serves different purposes. Yet Dropbox remains the most used online storage for my personal stuffs. Thanks to Dropsync.
It’s weird to use an external app for Dropbox syncing, but Dropsync has a feature
that is one and only. It provides many sync modes. Not only two-way, you can also choose Upload only, Upload then delete, Download only, Download mirror. I have an android phone, yet I don’t own a monthly mobile internet subscription. I can’t transfer file so easily outside. However, using Dropsync, my camera photos can be easily sync to my macbook using “Upload only”. When I find new mobile wallpapers, I can easily use “Upload then delete” sync. When I sync my chrome bookmarks, I use “Download only” sync.
