I’m very proud and excited to tell you that I have just r...

I’m very proud and excited to tell you that I have just received a Sunshine Award from fellow expat blooger Bibsey.

Like myself Bibsey has recently completed the A to Z challenge and I’ve enjoyed discovering her words for some of those more challenging letters, I now walk a littler taller in the knowledge that I know who Xanthippe is, or was to be precise.

Back to the subject, the Sunshine Award  is a lovely orange flower (you’ll have to copy my image, I’m not technosavvy enough to create a badge!) that bloggers give to other “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere”.

Oh wow, that’s me, I’m not exactly sure how I inspire others, apart from to be more organized when faced with my mess, to clean more when they see the state of my house, to stay on the sofa when they hear how boring running makes you.

Anyway, I’m not giving it back now, and to keep it I have to follow  three simple rules, so simple even I can do it.

  1. I must thank the person who gave this award in a blog post: Thank you very, very much Bibsey, am honoured:)
  2.  Do the Q&A below: Not too challenging
  3. Pass on the award to 10 deserving and inspriring bloggers, inform them and link to their blogs : easy peasy.

The Questions

Favorite Colour: Red for wine, pink for doc Martens, green for traffic lights, blue for sky…

Favourite Animal:  My guinea pig, a happy free range kinda rodent that you can read about here.

Favourite Number: 40 of course!

Favorite Drink: If I could only choose one I’m rather disappointed in myself for saying it would probably be a decent cup of tea, especially after living abroad where decent teabags are harder to get than drugs. Given another couple of choices I’ll take mojito and red wine too please, but not  together of course.

Facebook or Twitter : Facebook to spy on friends, twitter to spy on the world.

 Your Passion: Reading, running, writing.

Giving or getting presents: Both.

Favourite Day: All of them, especially in the holidays! I love bank holidays, I see them as unexpected little pockets of freedom.

Favourite Flowers: I suppose I should say big orange flowers but I’m not tactful enough, roses remind me of my grandmother’s garden, I love the smell of freesias, wild snowdrops are just little drops of perfection scattered about our woods, and I  feel buttercups are much maligned.
