I Miss Canada Already...

Posted on the 19 June 2012 by Nickmcdonald @W_W_O_Nick_McD
As you can tell by the title I'm not in my beloved home land at the moment. I'm stuck in the cab of my fathers semi that just crossed the border from beautiful British Columbia into this similar, yet foreign land they call Washington, USA. I'm confined to this space for a gruelingly long 5 days driving to California and back with nothing to do but blog, and study for my chemistry exam next week. As you know I do not like to study so I plan to spend a LOT of time writing these pointless articles, so you can expect tens of thousands of words to be posted in the next couple days.
I don't dislike this country, well that isn't completely true, it does have some problems that I could point out. But I won't because ever country has its flaws and I know that a significant part of my audience is of the American variety.
I don't feel at home when I'm in this country, it's the little things that make the difference. The red, white, and blue flags hanging everywhere, the people just seem different, I can't put my finger on what it is about this place, just two towns south of the border and everything just looks off. It's when you're dreaming and everything is the same but kinda mixed up, you walk from like your house into the school like they aren't miles AAAHHH fuck I mean kilometers apart but you don't exactly see why that's weird it just seems normal, but sometimes you notice that something isn't right, that you aren't awake and that weird things are happening.
That was kind of a weird example and I don't feel like reading it to make sure that it makes sense so if it doesn't I don't know. What I'm saying is that I miss being in Canada, I feel out of place here. Thank god for Verison wireless for blessing me with like 6GB of data so I don't die, and can stay connected with my online home, I always feel at home when I have a computer on my lap.
That's it for now, I think I'll try to have a nap, the constant and loud bmebhembmbemhbe sound and the violent shaking is surprisingly calming for me, I grew up riding around North America in these things. But first I must consume this sandwich and take my meds.
FML I don't have reception to send this, I'll send it when I get up from my nap.
