I see all these couples,Young and old,
Laughing, talking,
Holding hands.
And I wonder how they knew,
That they would end up together?
Or that love would be
still there even years later.
I look at you and me,
And even though I love you immensely,
There is still no guarantee,
If we would end up together, years later.
That when we don't look so charming,
And our speed is slow,
With time, our love stays intact,
And you and me still feel the connection.
Maybe I am trying to see too much,
Maybe it's just a whimsy,
I really don't know,
But I do wish I did.
