Inspired Season: Favorite Verse

Posted on the 14 July 2015 by Lifeofasportswife @jessaolson
I am joining along half way with Bailey from Brave Love on her Inspired Season. I took a bit of a blogging break very unintentionally but looking back it's exactly what I needed. I am so happy to be back writing, and looking to be a lot more open with my life. Not that I have lied but I haven't wrote 100% freely either. I think I have a new focus on this little space.

So today's prompt: Pick a verse for your season and create something around it. (Blog post, a painting, a poem, etc.) July is a very special month, not only because it's my birthday month, but because it's a time that I am going back to basics. This month I am focusing on 2 very specific things: Faith and Fitness. You can read more about that here.

My favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 4:18 -- So we don't spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can't see. What can be seen last only a short time. But what can't be seen will last forever.

I really don't remember how this became my favorite verse, but one day it just stuck with me and I love it. It's reminds me to stay humble and not chase worldly desires. It's not going to last, but it's temporary. I don't want to be someone that is temporary. I want my legacy and the way I treated others as well as acted to be something that lives on.
