Instagram coffeeIt seems there’s no shortage of good news for coffee addicts.

All caffeine enthusiasts know that our java makes us significantly better people. Plus, in the past year we’ve seen scientific evidence that drinking a few cups of coffee can turn you into an immortal god (more or less).

So, what’s new in the bright world of coffee?

Well, it turns out that those heart palpitations that you get after your 10th cup of coffee (before noon) aren’t caused by coffee…probably.

According to a recent study, coffee is not responsible for heart palpitations, heart fluttering and any other out-of-the-ordinary, heartbeat patterns.

To be clear, the study does not encourage you to drink coffee excessively. You should probably cap yourself off at 5ish. Also, any heart palpitations that you do get, even if they’re not caused by coffee, should be taken seriously.

But for now, let’s focus on the positives—coffee isn’t responsible for your heart trying to rip its way out of your chest.
