…keep Moving

On this, one of the busiest travel days of the year, and the eve of a day of thankfulness, perhaps what we should be most thankful for is that we have the means and opportunity to travel with relative ease…even if we want to lecture the knucklehead that just cut us off about the appropriate use of turn signals.

Just remember, it could be worse. You could be constantly on the move, fleeing zombies. Oh yes, I’m going there, because it’s not only Thanksgiving week, it’s also the final days before the mid-season finale of “The Walking Dead.” What better “What to Watch Wednesday” tribute of thanks could there be?

I know I’m grateful to have the freedom to travel sans zombies (even if it’s bumper to bumper). Although I will say, the one perk of post-apocalyptic society—no traffic. Sure, you have to “steal” (it’s a gray area when half of the population is technically dead, but still wandering the streets) a new car every time you run out of gas, or blow a tire (probably from running over a zombie), or are chased off by the latest group that’s just gone “too far” in this zombie apocalypse (there’s a line…you’ll know it when you get there…unless you don’t). But the roads are your own…once you’re able to hot wire your latest ride.

So, as you hit the highways, skies, rails, or whatever your mode of transportation may be this holiday, count your blessings.  The traffic may be crawling like the undead, but you’ll get there…eventually.
