Keeping West L.A. a Secret

Posted on the 29 March 2012 by Latinaprpro @latinaprpro

When asked where to go, where to eat, or where to shop - in West LA - I secretly coward.
I like keeping my stomping grounds a secret.
But I don't think I can anymore.  At least not for those I love and care for.
So, I imagine that this is where it's going to take some real thinking and love towards my readers.  Because, well, I live here.
So promise me one thing after I share my favorite places: please respect my stomping grounds and try to understand that yes, we are really that nice.
We really live in flip-flops, dine-out half of the week, and have the real challenge of choosing where to buy our groceries: Farmers Market, Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.
We are also dog friendly area.  From dining, to shopping, to simply walking, our four-legged children are all over the Westside.  So get used to it before you thumb your nose or gasp when a chin-chin sits besides you while you feast on your ravioli.
You might also consider that our perfect weather (no joke!), and our nicer nature, makes it easier for us to live and coexist with the homeless population.  So please, when you bring your children, tell them not to gasp or point fingers.  Our homeless brothers and sisters are mostly ill, but usually harmless.  Please respect them.
Now on to my West LA recommendations.
Enjoy!
