Good morning, fellow crusaders, and welcome to Monday!

If you’re lucky enough to be experiencing the new polar vortex this morning, you have my greatest sympathies. It’s not even December yet, and I’m already looking back fondly on those balmy days in the mid-30s.

But enough about the weather, in times like this, it’s best to focus on good news to distract yourself from things like the windchill in the negative digits.

So, here’s some good news to start your week — Pope Frank…I mean his holiness, Pope Francis, is coming to the US in 2015.

Why is this so exciting?

Well, if you’re not Catholic, it may not be as exciting, but for those of us who are, this is the first time we’ll have a chance to see this new “radical” pope up close. For those not familiar with Pope Francis’ tenure as pope, I say “radical” only to frame the changes within the seemingly unchangeable world of the Catholic Church.

The Pope will make his first appearance on US soil at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. Which could mean we’ll hear some interesting rhetoric, seeing as this pope has at least hinted at straying from the Church’s traditional definition.

Still, we’ll have to wait and see what the Pope has in store.

Until then, it’s back into the polar vortex. Stay warm!
