With T-minus two weeks until Election Day, today’s reminder that there is life after 11/08/2016 was a welcome distraction. To those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of viewing the official “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” trailer, feel free to scroll to the bottom now.
This little burst of sunshine direct from Stars Hollow was the perfect post-Monday pick-me-up. Aside from being purely wonderful, it also allowed for animated conversations about anything other than the election.
For example, Melissa McCarthy, made her first appearance in the trailer. Plus, we got some of that lovely Gilmore fast talk that we missed so much, and lots and lots of Kelly Bishop as the amazing Emily Gilmore.
Most importantly, we were given hope. Yes, it may seem a bit shallow and trivial, but there’s something comforting about the fact that our beloved Gilmore Girls are waiting for us on the other side of this election.
