Lesson 760 – Man, What a State!

Posted on the 06 May 2013 by Wendythomas @wendyenthomas

I often write about what it is like to live here in New Hampshire (spoiler alert – cold in the winter.) But this weekend, as I attended a conference up north (about 2.5 hours where I live) these are some of the images that remind me *exactly* why it is I continue to live in this great state.

So forgive me this morning, as I go on (and on) about that which is New Hampshire, but I think you might end up agreeing we me that it’s a beautiful place to live.

This is the historic Mount Washington Hotel now called the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Many years ago, those families with money to spare used to send sick family members here for the invigorating mountain air. I’m not sure it cured many infections but I am quite certain it calmed many souls.

On the drive up, I met this handsome fellow. At first I thought he was a young coyote, he was that large. Silly me, he was just a sly fox as interested in me as I was of him.

There was a little bit of snow on the grounds at my hotel -

But it was forgivable when we were treated to a view like this:

And then not more than 5 minutes up the road, this was the view I was treated to of the Presidential Range:

And this of Mount Washington:

Nope, not going to be leaving this state anytime soon.
