License to Spill at the Annual Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival

When we adopted Princess Maya last year, never did we think that we would become obsessive with our carpeting.  But we did.
Within a few weeks of bringing Maya home, our nice tan carpet was suddenly overtaken with pee stains.  In less than two months, we opened-up our wallet and purchased a steam cleaner together with enough stain removal product to clean our large apartment front and back a few times over.
Potty training a puppy is no joke...but it's much harder when you have light carpet at home that you have to obsess over. 
As much as we tried to avoid chemical-based cleaners to clean our carpet, we were stuck cleaning our current carpet the traditional way.  
It's because of our personal situation that I was excited to learn more about Mohawks SmartStrand carpets and rugs during this weekends Lobster Festival.

I learned during a simple demonstration, that the carpet stain protection is actually built-in to the Mohawk carpeting and is extremely easy to keep-up, by simply using water to clean any stain. ANY! 
With only a rag, warn water, and mild detergent, even wine stains were removed in front of my very eyes!  Not only that, Mohawk's SmartStrand has permanent stain and soil resistance that will never wear off.  As in, never!
Easy peasy - and very different from my current situation of having to lug-out the steam cleaner every time I drop something or Maya pees. (Gosh, I CAN NOT wait to be done with that!)
For someone that has furry baby at home, like I do, this is extremely important.  Once we replace our current carpeting with the Mohawk SmartStrand, we will no longer have to use harsh chemicals or carpet cleaners to clean-up (no pun intended) our furry baby mistakes.
For those that care about home decor, rejoice! Mohawks SmartStrand is STUNNING!  I can only imagine how beautiful it will look in any home, or apartment, and elevate any decor.
