Little Screens - This Weekend!

Have you been in two minds about taking your little ones to the cinema?  Perhaps you are concerned about how they may behave or react to a full length movie?  If so, then the ideal introduction is now available in the form of 'Little Screens' Pinewoods new interactive cinema event for children. Little Screens - This Weekend! Following a very successful launch in October, Little Screens returns for the weekend 19th-20th November and is to be held in Vue and Showcase Cinema's throughout the UK. The Little Screen events will feature two showings across one weekend each month, with each event featuring a new format of shows aimed at children aged 3-6 years. The latest new show will feature the much-loved Masha and the Bear, Lily’s Driftwood Bay, Miffy’s Adventures, Octonauts and Paw Patrol. Tyne and Noah are really excited about going to see this, for Noah it will be his first visit to the cinema so it will be interesting to see how he reacts when the lights go down!
Little Screen was born from the insight that children’s learning thrives in social environments, and the whole programme has been tailor made for pre-school children to watch and learn together. Pui Fan Lee, who is best known for portraying Po in the original Teletubbies, is part of the creative team behind Little Screen. She has spent many years working in children’s TV and is a favorite face of CBeebies programme Show Me Show Me.
Commenting on the format and importance of children watching and learning together, Pui Fan Lee said: "Little Screen is the perfect place to bring little ones to enjoy the magic of the Big Screen; the great variety of little features and all the funny bits in-between are carefully chosen to keep everyone happy (grown ups too!). Little Screen is a Lovely Little Treat!” For the duration of each 70-minute programme, children will be kept on their
toes with each showing consisting of five episodes from different programmes, with the host – Marty (Darren Hart) - encouraging audience participation inspired by the content.  Little Screen promises to offer a unique cinema visit for young children and their families where joining in, singing and dancing is encouraged, not frowned upon!
