LS Elections 2014- Part 2

Posted on the 28 October 2013 by Justalovelythought @justalovelythou
In my previous blog post, last month I had written about the circus of LS polls 2014. Got a sharp reaction too from Mumbai Congress media cell. Then Dehati Aurat happened and the entire event took a dramatic turn. But I would never have imagined the bollywoodisation of the election campaigns.
Modi and BJP organized Hunkaar Rally in Patna. Mostly to terrorize Nitish Kumar rather than anything else. Nitish Kumar aka NiKu by social media visibly did everything to stop this. He tried calling President on the same day and visibly looked upset when that did not happen. I somehow feel, may be wrong, that in the hindsight now NiKu must be feeling the heat of BJP and NaMo.
The way Congress motormouths and none other than the Shehzada is doing rallies across India and putting foot in his mouth time and again is not funny anymore. Every time he speaks he ends up providing fresh ammo to NaMo brigade to overpower, ridicule and criticize Congress and Gandhi family.
That drives me to the moot point of the post. Bollywoodisation of LS election campaign 2014. Look at the highlights of the speeches given by the leaders both from ruling and opposition parties. So lets see the examples of it.
RaGa talks about his mother's tears..! I mean really? You are talking to the people  of Indian republic or trying to impress a girl with your softer side? FYI the latter also is not appreciated much! He is talking about his father and grand mother getting killed by terrorism and how he was angry.... What is the use RaGa? In a country where every month explosions take place and kill millions! Where a single spark of communal tension ends up turning into a volcanic genocide. Would all of them listen to you and empathize with you? You want your party to rule the third largest democracy in the world through empathy?
Now lets look at our man of the moment. Mr Narendra Modi. This man spends 99% of his time on the dais taking pot-shots at the G family and C company. Rest 1% time will be spent in reading deftly crafted speeches which profoundly maximizes his achievements in Gujarat. However, this time in Patna he started what I called bollywoodisation. He wrote a potboiler of sorts instantly. "I was a tea vendor in railways.....". Audience clapping cheering our political Amitabh Bacchan. He spoke about Gareebi, bhookh and all other typical Salim Javed words.
This circus is getting nasty. Those five people who died wont be able to vote, elect any government or will be able to see any govt from any side. This political hatred is ought to turn into something more decisive and detrimental to Indian social fabric. All you got to do is to log into any social media platform and see the hatred and religious bigotry creeping.
Dear leaders, Bollywoodisation we will enjoy but do spare a thought about the growing hatred. Fueling hatred wont do any good for anyone.
