Happy Social Media Day!
I believe tradition demands over-sharing and at least one #foodstagram, but I’m going to do my best to resist.Because for all of the useless noise social media has brought (and there’s plenty of it), it’s made our world a smaller place in some incredible ways. We’re having conversations in an instant, connecting with people halfway across the world, and learning (yes, it happens) to look beyond our own corners of the world.
It’s allowed to peek behind the curtain, witness moments of history, and participate in ways that were once beyond our reach.
This Social Media Day, I can think of no better way to celebrate than using social media in the way it was intended—to share (notice the lack of over).
