My eyes are tired. Yet I keep staring at this iPad either playing chess or messaging or playing with photographs doing very important business stuff. I may definitely have a slight OCD issue when it comes to picking up electronics and tinkering. Oh well. I digress. Pamela is home safe and sound back in Kyle. She's actually at a birthday gathering for her aunt right now. I'm sure they're enjoying a glass or 5 of good wine. Meanwhile, I just finished watching The Joneses on Netflix. David Duchovny, Demi Moore.. Not bad. Demi Moore has always been easy to watch. Speaking of easy to watch..

We totally binge watched season 1 of True Detective 3 days or so ago. If you haven't seen it, do it. Good writing, great acting. Very cool. I don't know that I could ever rank anything higher than Breaking Bad, but True Detective definitely has it's fair share of holy crap that was awesome moments along with a few good god that was disturbing moments ["You haven't made flowers on me in like 3 weeks" ..sooooo sick]. We finished watching the last episode around 2:30 am that night. I think we watched.. 6 in a row maybe? That's a lot of tv. Once you get so close to the end you just can't stop though. Luckily the next day was an easy one at work. The awesome crew at our station's nearby HEB came over and fed us for 9/11. What a great group. Cooked, cleaned and hung out all morning. On their day off, too. I really enjoyed it.
Cake even had a structure fire on it. Nice job.
That meant a lot to us and we made sure to let them all know it. They're officially new friends :) That brings us to yesterday. Last night was an impromptu night out with a couple friends. Hadn't gone out for beers in what felt like a long while. Apparently I'm out of drinking shape cuz I was tired all day today. Maybe I'm just getting old :). I don't know how I used to do it every night off. Once every two weeks is plenty for me now. Did i really just say that..? Man I'm definitely getting old. Either way, tomorrow is football Sunday at the station, and you can't beat that no matter how hard you try. I. Loves. Me. Some. Football. Sundays. At. Da. Stations. On that note, I think that's all I have to report. You're all caught up more or less. This whole documenting my life for the government thing is going pretty smoothly. I'll report back when I have more old man adventures. Laters.
