Today we’d like to take the time,
To mark the date with a personal rhyme.
We thought it would be a special way,
To mark the eve our blog’s founding day.
Why rhyme today and not the morrow?
The reason fills some with dread and sorrow.
You see, tomorrow our nation redefines “irate,”
With the first of two presidential debates.
We’ll save such talk for the 26th,
For now let’s focus on what doesn’t need fixed.
For seven years we’ve been sharing our voices,
Our proverbial four cents and top movie choices.
To those who have tuned in as we’ve made our way,
We thank you for joining our personal crusade.
We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have,
Although, half as much wouldn’t be too bad.
As we make our way to the end of this rhyme,
We thank you again for sharing your time.
