It’s harsh,

You know

To be able to feel

When the other doesn’t 

And you thought,

There was something

For both of us,

But it just

Doesn’t happen

Maybe,

It’s the time,

Which isn’t right

Or maybe,

It’s just us

A lot of maybes

Left unanswered

And the pain

That comes

With that uncertainty

Traverses beyond all pains

That the heart goes through

There’s longing that aches,

Now, from a distance

Too shy to come close,

To awkward to speak,

A load has been lifted,

And, a load has been pushed upon,

All in all,

It’s alright,

If not today,

Then maybe

In the end
