This month I decided on a little game of 'who could reach up high and touch the twig?' whilst the 10 second timer on the camera was going off. We managed to get us and both of our boys in front of the camera with all of our faces visible and we even ended up with Charlie our cat in our photograph too - he'd followed us to the park yet again, so that was a bit of a result. Now I just need to come up with a plan on how to get our other two cats in the picture with us and we'll have a proper, true family picture!
April has been busy with Ethan's 3rd birthday (which was a really lovely day) and our loft conversion and upstairs redecorating going on. Adam and I are feeling a little strained to be honest, it's not easy having workmen here everyday, whilst looking after a 9 month old (who is teething!) and a 3 year old and whilst also trying to still work at home and being ill (of which we all have been for a few weeks now - I swear I've been ill more times in the last six months than I have been in my entire lifetime!).
But it's OK as we're starting to see the end now, it's all coming together and we know once it's all done and all the workmen go home, it will have been so worth it.
Asides from that, I wrote recently about feeing a little bit lonely. I was overwhelmed with the comments the post received and also by the lovely messages offering support, so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart as I have realised that I'm not alone. I've also realised that I want to step out of my shell a bit more when it comes to making friends - even online. I think recently quitting my other job were I went out to work and saw people everyday has played a part in how I feel but it's comforting to know that whilst sometimes I can feel like I'm the only one who often feels this way, I'm really not.
I hope that April has been kind to everyone else and I really hope that the weather here in the UK starts to warm up a little bit more soon, because snow in Spring really isn't very cool. I think we're all ready for a bit of sunshine now, don't you think?
