Meet Guinness

So my entire livelihood for the past week has revolved around Guinness. No, I'm not talking about the Guinness you think I'm talking about. Meet Guinness, my new puppy.

I'd been wanting a dog for awhile now, but I really had no idea how much of a handful a 10 week old puppy could be. Good god what was I thinking. It's been a challenging week full of firsts. He's accepted his kennel, accepted his leash, he's really, really, really close to being housebroken, and even though there's little hiccups along the way when I walk him, (he still gets scared when he hears a random dog bark that sounds a little close or a car drives by too fast, and at the very beginning of every walk he plays the "I'm a dead fish" routine for about 5 seconds), he's doing pretty well and does his best following close at my side. And I do walk the hell out of him. Gave him 4 walks yesterday. I know I'm doing it right when I look at him in his kennel and he's knocked the hell out. He's still a puppy and of course there's a learning curve. He still whines when he's left alone (working on that) but he's quieting down quicker and quicker. And as of last night, he's graduated to sleeping in his kennel in the living room. Thank god.

I used to spend all my money on Guinness, and now this week Ive spent all my money and time on... Guinness. Circle of life.
