B1 has become very affectionate lately. Her caring nature has started to really stand out to me every day. A few days ago as I was changing B2′s nappy she came over, picked up a wipe and started trying to ‘help’ me clean him up. Which rather surprised me as usually the first place the wipes go if they manage to get one is in their mouths to suck.
Later that day she was playing with a cup and spoon, pretending to eat out of the cup when she came over to B2 and myself and wanted to ‘feed’ us. So we sat there for a few minutes while she placed the spoon in the cup and then in my mouth, then in the cup and then in B2′s mouth. He thought it was rather funny.
The next day I was reading to them when B1 picked up the brush and leaned over and started brushing B2′s hair. She has never done this before and it was amazing to watch her. B2 didn’t budge and continued to read his book, until she started getting a bit heavy handed. Later that day she tried to brush his hair again, though this time she thought she would use a spoon to brush his hair. This didn’t work quiet as well but she enjoyed it.
It is melting my heart watching her become so caring and helpful towards others.
