Melting Moments Monday Linky #3 – There’s Nothing Like Children’s Laughter

Posted on the 26 August 2012 by Meltingmoments

I love listening to laughter. I could listen to someone laughing all day. Especially those real deep belly laughs. The laugh that you can’t control and hurts your cheeks. Hearing laughter always brings a smile to my face and before long I will feel myself beginning to join in.

Laughter is good for the soul and can do wonders for your health. It can boost immunity, relax the body, decrease pain and lower stress hormones. It improves mood, eases anxiety and helps combat depression. A good laugh can turn a dark and hopeless emotional state into one of light and hope.

There is nothing I love more than hearing my children’s laughter. It warms my heart and makes me feel all tingly inside.

The other day in the midst of our towel washing saga (see my post regarding our mini flood and towel washing marathon here), B1 and B2 were playing hide and seek with each other in the towels that were hanging on the clothes horse. They were having an absolute ball and their laughter was contagious. They were hysterical, in fits of fun as they dodged the towels and each other. I managed to catch some of this on video with my phone. I have been watching it over and over again and I end up in fits of laughter myself every time. I love watching them play and laugh together. No matter what else is going on in life, the laughter of my babies makes me the happiest mommy on earth.
