Melting Moments Monday – Night Giggles

Our household has been hit with a virus. We’ve all been a bit miserable and tired. Dora has been waking through the night bothered by her blocked up nose. A few nights ago, I got up to her cries. It was about 12.30am and my cold symptoms were starting to kick in. I shuffled sleepily to her room and picked her up. I sat in our rocking chair and cuddled her until she drifted back to sleep. Wide awake and enjoying this sleepy cuddle, I looked down at her and she smiled. Then she giggled and started to talk her baby speak. She was having a wonderful conversation with someone, somewhere but she was totally asleep. The room went quiet again and I gently returned her to her cot. A big gush of love filled my heart as I watched her sleep for a few more moments.
