Mini Sleek Haul

I love make up. Like, really love make up. And I especially love Sleek Make Up. I recently received a 20% discount code to spend online from them for taking part in a survey, and so I spent the next couple of hours agonizing over what to order! I am ridiculously indecisive, especially when it comes to spending money. What if I decide to buy the wrong thing?! Luckily, everything from Sleek is gorgeous so there’s no worries there.

I knew instantly that I would get the i-Divine palette in Au Naturel as I have been lusting after that for a long while now and it’s never in the shops when I look for it. There are twelve shades of both matte and shimmer finishes and they are all absolutely gorgeous. Each color is really highly pigmented so you need hardly any product and they last for hours on the eyelids, although I do find that I need a base to stop them creasing on my slightly oily skin. I have quite a few of these palettes now but I think I will definitely get the most use out of this one as it is so versatile, and I love my nude colours.

I don’t normally do bright colours in any way shape or form when it comes to make up, I just don’t think it suits me. But I’m trying to take a few more risks and change my look up a bit as I feel like I’ve got stuck in a beauty rut. So I went for the Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Candy Cane. It’s a gorgeous rich pink color which is perfect for Spring, but it’s not a bright, scary fuchsia. This lipstick is in a sheen finish which is nice and moisturising, but it doesn’t move around like some lipsticks do. The picture doesn’t do it justice!

In keeping with the “colours I would never normally buy” theme I pushed the boat out and went for the blush in Flamingo. I’m normally more of a shimmery dark pink-bronze kinda gal when it comes to blush, so this is completely different for me. When I first opened the compact I have to admit I was scared because it is VERY pink!! But actually when you get it on, it’s a gorgeous mid pink and give you a lovely healthy flush. This is very pigmented so you don’t need very much to get a good result, don’t go mad or I imagine you could end up looking like a clown. Less is more with this one!! This is definitely my new favorite blush, I’m so pleased I was brave and made the right choice.

I did make one sensible purchase and got the Luminous Pressed Powder in the lightest shade as I’m quite pale at the mo from all the lack of sunshine! This is a gorgeous velvety powder with a soft shimmer to it which really makes your face glow. It could also just be used as a high lighter on the cheek bones if you’re not a fan of shimmery faces. Personally I will use this across my T-Zone as I am oily there and also across my cheeks for a dewy effect. I’m trying desperately to be sensible and use up my current powder before I start using this one but it’s proving tricky as it’s so pretty!!

All of these can be purchased online at www.sleekmakeup.com or at Superdrug.

If you haven’t tried any Sleek products yet, I sincerely suggest that you do. In my opinion they are the best high street make up brand at the moment, their products are amazing quality and give a pay off similar to the high end make up brands such as Mac. If you’re looking for an affordable alternative – definitely look for Sleek Make Up.

I’m hoping to do more of these kinds of blog posts in the future, let me know if you liked it!
