Moving In & My First Mother's Day

Posted on the 12 May 2014 by Wifessionals @wifessionals
This past weekend was so special! Saturday the movers showed up with our household goods and we finally moved into our house. The only bad thing was that they don't know where half of our stuff is - so right now we have a ton of boxes, but barely any furniture. We are going to try and call them again today to see if they have located everything else.
It has been so fun to open the boxes we do have. Our stuff has been in storage for 6 months and it's surprising how much you forget you have in that time period! It's like Christmas (: The best thing has been sleeping in our own bed again and finding all of Rilynn's toys and clothes.
This weekend was also nice because my grandmother flew into town and it was her first time meeting Rilynn. Rilynn is the first great grandchild! My grandma has prayed a lot for us and is one of the people who threw my baby shower. We love her so much and are glad to have this time with her.

Lastly, it was my first Mother's Day! Ryan took me to brunch and Rilynn's gift to me was that she was happy, quiet and well behaved the entire time! It's the first time she has made it through an entire meal out where she didn't get fussy and need to be passed between the two of us at some point. The food was delicious and we had a really great time. Ryan made me the most emotional video featuring photos and clips from my pregnancy and Rilynn's first seven months. It was such a great reminder of how quickly time passes and that I should appreciate every moment as I am living it with Ryan and Rilynn. The two of them also got me concert tickets to see one of my favorite bands! I wasn't expecting it at all, but it will be a fun date night out.
Posting on here will be sporadic, as we continue to unpack and try to settle into our home. I have a few cute lookbooks coming up with photos I've taken of Rilynn over the past month. I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
