I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I saw this >This is my (brief) stats from yesterday. 6 minutes vigorous activity after SHRED? I seriously thought that Level 2 of 30 Day Shred would mean more than 6 minutes vigorous activity(!). The whole point of Shred is that it is 20 minutes of *intensity*. I can hear Jillian from the DVD - “you need to give me 20 minutes of intensity guys, 20 minutes”. (Haha, weird!)
So what’s the deal? I feel like I am working insanely hard… like sweat rollin down my face hard. Alexandra rec’d trying Level 3, because it’s not that much of a step up. Which I am definitely going to do – see if I can handle it. I’m actually starting to get excited by exercise – who’d have thought?!
But I am also wondering whether it’s time for more. I definitely feel stronger, and last longer without modifications (like tonight at Step – burpees anyone?! That’s another story!).
I do love the convenience of doing Shred at home, on a day when 20 minutes is totally achievable and hassle-free (better than nothing, right?). But I’ve heard that alot of people ‘graduate’ from doing Shred to something like p90x etc.
I know that I have a long way to go, but definitely don’t want to plateau and stop pushing myself.
Any suggestions?
