One of my favorite day dreams (apart from the one where I'm in solitary confinement for a month or so) is of my ideal study.
It's a secret room with a password/iris check entry system and sound proof walls so I couldn't hear the kids bickering.
It has a desk, but also a couple of comfy armchairs.
Most importantly, it is covered with the grooviest bookcases from floor to ceiling. Like this:
