My Hectic Life as a Working Mum
Life of a mom is never easy, but it’s not bad either and we would never change it for anything! In fact becoming a mother is many woman’s dream. To have that opportunity in itself is a complete blessing. It’s true that you have to carry out lot of roles or responsibilities as a mum, but that’s not the end of story. Your life can still be "happening" if you know how to balance between work and fun! Being a mother of a three year old daughter and an 8 month old son, I'm also a working woman, a wife, homeowner and not forgetting a blogger too. I go through a super hectic schedule every day. Needless to say, my life seems to be no less than a roller coaster ride and just gives me the jitter of nerves every now and then.
From dawn to dusk, it’s not easy to carry out the responsibilities as a wife, mother, worker and blogger! But what makes it all worth it is getting a chance to see a happy smile on my children's face. Nothing beats the feeling of watching your child doing well and happy.
Daily after returning from work, I make it a point to spend some absolute fun time with my daughter and son, playing the games they love. That is, in fact, the most precious time of my day as I forget all my tensions and stresses in minutes.
I even go out for a lovely walk or hang out with my family on weekends to completely refresh myself in the presence of my loved ones. Whether it's a spot of shopping, soft play, visiting a local attraction - all brings back to what we work so hard for. Family.
As well as making time for family you've got to take time out for yourself. I say it time and time again but it's so incredibly important for you to just be you. Even if it's reading your favorite magazine or blog. It's completely healthy and natural to just want time to yourself for 30 mins or so.  When I get the rare occasion for "me time", you may find me playing online games because of the obvious convenience and entertainment factor attached to it. You can also try this fun game of bingo, which reminds me of the days I used to visit my Nan in her care home in which we would help to lead the weekly sessions.
I quite often associate bingo with fond memories of her, she was such an incredible Lady who inspired me on so many levels. She too was a working mum, who had to juggle family life and work. She also overcame so many challenges and heartbreak in her life. Like the loss of three children and then later on in life a stroke which lead to losing the ability to speak and the use one side of her body. She always had a smile on her face and was so incredibly brave. She is my ultimate hero. So when the volume of work, daily tasks, children being pains in the butts and a house that needs a damn good tidy, I sit back and remember my Nan. For she wouldn't have moaned and whined. She would have painted her nails, adjusted her lippy and got on with whatever life threw at her.
