Crochet and Olympics
Last Saturday, I sat down on my couch to watch the repeat of the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Some of you may have read my tweets on twitter and some of you on my facebook page. I love the Olympics. Summer and Winter. I have 3 countries to choose from this year. Australia, Malaysia and Nepal. So why not.
I come from a family that loves their sports. As a young child and a teenager, I remember my parents sending my sisters and I to every sports training or meet. My dad loves anything and everything sport, coincidentally I happened to be married to a sports nut too. So it's in my blood to love sports.
I get so teary when I see an athlete win gold and if the commentator tells me how much they have worked for this day, I would just start bawling. Especially if they come from the countries that I am supporting.
Another thing I like, is the commercials or ads that comes out during the games. Owh.... those tear jerkers are sometimes too much for me. When I saw the ad for Telstra, owh man.... SOBS! One twitter follower said it was patriotic tears. Patriotic indeed! You watch it and tell me you teared up a little bit as well right? All this patriotic sprit is just too much for me. I LOVE IT!
