These feelings overwhelm me as i sit here by the windowsill side
me, all alone
Waiting for the time you come home
as i watch the steps leading to the door
i open my eyes, here, was it all a dream, dear?
did everything then, happened or was it just a figment of my wild imagination?
lying awake, throughout the night, i turned to my side
the emptiness on the bed left a tug to my heart
me, all alone
did you mean what you said those years back
or were they just lies to keep me by your side?
thinking about them now i just want to sigh
regrets in front of me, blocking my path as i wait for it to pass
me, all alone
but they refused to budge, holding firm onto this part of my soul
and i turn around, walking away to the other side, looking for another sign
as i knelt down and prayed, hoping for the day that would never come
i knew that i loved you more thani could count
