Now, Belo introduces their new line, The Belo Intensive Whitening with Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid. If you’ve been a long time reader of this blog, you know how I love to try and discover whitening products that really work! I’ve tried this set for two weeks and noticed the difference.
Belo Intensive Whitening Bar – P59.75 (65g)
First step, clean your face with the Belo Intensive Whitening Bar (Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid). It comes in this really nice ala chocolate bar packaging! It’s easy to store the soap back and great for travel too! It has an easy “push to open” tape on the side.
Just like what I normally do to my bar soaps, I cut them either in half or fours. For the Belo Intensive Whitening Bar Soap, it’s smaller compared to the other bar soaps that I’ve tried so I just cut it in half. One for my face, the other for my body. I like doing it that way so I have a separate soap for the face.
Just like other kojic soaps it dissolves fast if left it swimming with water, especially now that it’s summer. It’s always best to store your soaps on a soap dish that has strainer to keep your soap dry, preserving the soap for longer use. Keep it away from the shower or areas that usually get wet.
For the face
It is advised to discontinue first any skincare products you are currently using if you’re switching to Belo Intensive Whitening products as there might be other products that will not be compatible with these. What I do is, I just use water and facial wipes for 5-7 days before I use a new set of skincare.
Wet your face and the soap, rub it in between your palms. Use dissolved soap on your palm to wash the face. I prefer doing that instead of rubbing the soap directly to my face. If you have sensitive skin, rinse it afterwards but if you have normal skin, you can leave the product on your face for about a minute or two before rinsing. You may feel a little stinging sensation or itchy feeling, it’s normal as the product acts on the skin. Pat dry your face with a clean towel.
For the body
Just like other body soaps, I use it on my entire body. I leave it also for 1-2 minutes before I rinse. There are times when I feel micro-exfoliation after shower. I just remove all those dead skin either by a body scrub or my body towel. There’s also a bit stinging sensation and itchy feeling that definitely fades away after rinsing with water.

Belo Intensive Whitening Face and Neck Cream – P249.75 (50g)
Another nice packaging. I love how they incorporate beauty quotes on their boxes.
Next step after cleansing the face, moisturize. This is very essential especially if you have dry skin. Most whitening products make the skin dry, the solution is to moisturize your skin really well. Even if you’re not using any skin whitening products, moisturizing the skin is a must to keep it young and healthy. Also, most people neglect the neck area. It’s the extension of our face and is also prone to wrinkles and sagging, therefore you should also take care of it as much as you do with your face. The Belo Whitening Face and neck cream addresses both areas so you’ll have even, whiter skin.
It’s housed in a light, plastic jar that has lid to keep the product fresh, and what I really like about it, it includes a small spatula inside that most skincare products in a jar forget to do so. It’s for hygienic purposes so you don’t have to dip in your fingers into the jar (worst, double dipping). Clean hands is good but, using a spatula is better.
It’s very light on the skin, not as thick as their body cream (will discuss below). It gets absorbed by the skin fast. It can be used underneath your sunblock and makeup too. It tried once not using it after the soap and my skin slight dry, then when I applied it, my skin felt moisturized but not sticky. Apply it on the entire face including the neck. I love how it smells too!
Belo Intensive Whitening Body Cream – 199.75 (150ml)
The last step is to whiten and moisturize the body with Belo body cream. Body creams make your skin more moisturized and supple compared to normal body lotions. Some creams tho can make you feel sticky and greasy, but don’t worry as this cream, just like the Belo Face and Neck cream, it gets absorbed by the skin really fast. It already has SPF 30 to protect your skin from harmful UV rays of the sun especially that summer season is here! It also has sweet floral scent that I really like. I remember when I applied it before going to the mall with my BFF and she smelled and loved the scent. I let her try the product, and she liked it too!

It has thick consistency yet very easy to spread and used on the entire body. I use it twice a day, or even more specially when going out since I need extra protection from the sun.

It’s not only me who noticed a difference but my friends and cousins too! Some dark spots and post acne marks have lightened.
After two weeks, I can say that the products are very effective and they do deliver what they promise. Just a few reminders if you’re using these or any whitening products:
- Don’t forget to use sunblock or sunscreen.
- Avoid getting exposed too long to heat and the sun.
- Keep your skin hydrated using the moisturizing cream and body cream
- Your neck is as sensitive and important as your face, make sure you take care of that area too.
- If you have severe sensitive skin, a patch test (48 hours) or even consulting your physician or dermatologist is advised.
- We have different skin conditions and preference therefore, any skincare products can have different effects and benefits depending on the person.
