I work at an Italian restaurant and we have a pretty nice back patio. We usually only seat large parties out there, but some guys that own a tailoring store in the same shopping center as our restaurant came in and wanted to sit out back. There wer about 5 of them and we were slow so it was no problem. They were celebrating something and wanted to have some shots of vodka……lots of shots of vodka. One of our waitresses was taking care of them and she just kept running back and forth getting them shots. After about her 3rd or 4th run she looks at me with a big smile and says, “they are tipping me 20 bucks every time I go out there!” I was needless to say jealous because I had turned down taking the table outside because I was pretty busy already. The waitress started getting slammed inside and asked me to take another round of shots out to the guys. I jumped at the opportunity thinking I may get myself an easy 20 bucks. I head outside with a tray of shots and watch as all the guy’s faces outside go from happy to disappointed. I think I even see a guy put something green back in his pocket. Needless to say I did not get an extra 20. I guess a man waiter with a scruffy beard just doesn’t have the same effect on a group of shot guzzling guys as a pretty waitress. Shocker.
