This weekend, M and I are going to get our family bikes. I have done my research and have found 2 that would be suitable for us. I am excited beyond..... err..... well just plain excited. I have always wanted to bike as a family. Last year, we hired bikes along the river and cycled for 2 hours around the river and back. It was such a fun day. This year, I want to do it again except we get our own bikes and we do it often! I can't wait.
I love riding my bicycle. I have been riding since I can remember. I remember my first bike. It was dark green. I remember it had training wheeles on it and I rode everywhere around my neighbourhood. Just me and my bike. That was how it was done back in the day, I would just go out on my bike and ride for hours on my own. Mum had nothing to worry about then, don't think I would be doing it now though with the Lil' Tiger. I remember my bike didnt have any breaks (WHAT?) and I used my flip flop and dragged it on the road to make it stop. I went through my flip flops in 2 months riding like that. I think mom got fed up with replacing them all the time that she got me a new bike with breaks on it this time. It was a bigger bike as well. I remember feeling so happy and grown up because I was riding a big girl bike. Ahhh the memories. I hope the Lil' Tiger will have fond memories of riding her bike with her mom. :)
I am hoping we would be able to discover more of Perth with our bikes. Maybe have a stop or two to look at birds or the cars pass by or a gelato (we have to keep our energy up right?). I have always loved the romance of a girl and her bike. There is something nostalgic about it. Don't believe me? Look at these...

So cute right? My bike will have a childseat at the back and a basket in the front. It will be the coolest bike in my house. :)
