I like to think of myself as quite a creative and thoughtful gift giver.
I've always taken pride in the gifts I choose for my loved ones to mark special occasions, and put months & months of thought into my choices before any purchases are made.
There's nothing as rewarding as seeing the surprise & delight on someone's face when they open a gift that they truly love or that means something to them.
I usually like to think outside the box when it comes to birthdays and son - experience days and spa vouchers are my favorite sorts of gifts to give! Something that people will really rememeber.
But, for some reason, Father's Day is one such occasion that I've always struggled with - perhaps because my own Dad was always so adamant on what he wanted for Fathers Day (the same things every single year - whiskey and socks!) and so I've never really had much cause to think about what makes a special fathers day gift or gesture, but since I've been buying Fathers Day gifts on behalf of my own children for Jon I've struggled a bit.
This year, I decided I wanted to do something a bit different - more of a gesture than a gift I suppose.
I decided to create a Family photograph wall in our hallway - something that we'd been talking about doing for a long time but never got around to - I used various prints we already had of Tyne as a baby, a family photograph of us from last year, our new Family keys print, and a Family wall print I'd already created using photos of Jon's parents and mine as well of the boys & us.
But there was one thing missing from the feature wall - a photo of the 4 of us!
