Our Garden Plans for 2018

Posted on the 08 May 2018 by Mummyb @mummyb_kw
Every year I say I'm going to get the garden finished and every year I make plans and they only get half done. We currently have one side of the garden as we would like it, but the other side is looking a little unloved. So this year I'm making myself a promise and I will get the garden finished.
Our Garden plans for 2018 My plans consist of a few things, a patio, play area and storage solution. It's completely doable so I'm not setting myself up to fail. The reason for this push is Darcie's birthday we think we've decided to get her (and her brother) a wooden play set. They absolutely love to be outside and we really want to give them an area that's just there's. We ideally want a small set up due to our small garden and we have our eye on this one.  Our Garden plans for 2018
It will be perfect for them both and should last them for years to come. If you have any other suggestions on small wooden outdoor play equipment, then please feel free to leave me your suggestions! It's also another excuse for my husband to pick up some new toys, in the shape of tools in order to assemble the equipment.
The area we are looking to patio is directly underneath our kitchen window. It gets sun all evening and will be the perfect spot to relax whilst the children are playing. It's only a small area so I'm hoping we can get this done in an afternoon. Then we fill our planters, add some lighting and we will be good to go.
Lastly is storage for garden and tool equipment. We will be building a lean to shed towards the side of our house, that way we can make it to fit our needs. With a small garden we are having to get quite creative with the space we have available so this will be an ideal use of space which is currently just being wasted.
I'm feeling so excited to get this project finally finished so we can make the most of our evenings this summer.
Do you have any projects you're currently working on?
