Pantone Colour Of The Year 2019

Posted on the 12 December 2018 by Just For Clocks @JustForClocks

It's that time of the year again when the Bible of colours Pantone released its colour of the year as it has been doing for the past 20 years setting trends in fashion, product design, home furnishings, and interiors.

LIVING CORAL is the pantone colour of year 2019! This is a real switch and shift from 2018 ultra violet hue. Pantone defines the colour as a nurturing colour that appears in our natural surroundings and at the same time, displays a lively presence within social media as per the modern life.

Leatrice Eiseman the Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute says "Colour is an Equalizing lens through which we experience our natural and digital realities and this is particularly true for Living Coral. With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, the humanizing and heartening qualities displayed by the convivial Pantone Living Coral hit a responsive chord."

The shade 16-1546 is a warm, peachy orange with a life-affirming golden undertone. The color evokes vitality and buoyancy.

As per my opinion the colour is welcoming, optimistic and intimate which is suitable and applicable in celebrating our living spaces. Gone are the days when traditional hues ruled the interiors. Living Coral can be your go to colour for spaces like hallways, bathrooms or you can even think of painting the entire room with living coral. It's not a colour which one embodies in the form of an accent anymore, when styled properly can give soothing results.

To sum up I believe that by honing in on the exquisite beauty of coral reefs the colours subtle elegance is something which the designers and stylist will look forward to. You can play it well by combing it with bold colours and creatively bringing out the best version of it.

I am personally looking forward to more such influences in near future which gives birth to such effervescent colour mesmerizing the eye and the mind.
