This weekend the LGBTQ community celebrates Pride with parades, parties, and festivities around the world. And while these will be colorful joyous affairs, among these celebrations of life and love, there’s still a hint of its origins in protest and demonstration and that matters, because as Zer said in her post yesterday, “there’s still work to be done.”
However, today it’s just as important to acknowledge and cherish the change that has come as it is to continue reaching for true equality. So today’s #SundayFunday goes out to the LGBTQ community and really everyone celebrating and fighting for social justice. That truly is something to take Pride in.
