…Pardon the Interruption

Posted on the 20 May 2016 by Zer @the2women

filmThis summer is jam-packed with blockbuster films. Unfortunately, none of those awesome films hit theaters in the past week…

So, this Friday I’d like to redirect your attention to Stephanie’s “Captain America: Civil War,” review from last week, as well as our “2WC Approved” page.

Once you’re done with that light reading, you can check out some clips and trailers for all the films you have to look forward to this summer. Just as a reminder, none of these films came out in the past week. We apologize for the interruption to our regularly scheduled programming, but we don’t make the schedule so take it up with Hollywood.

“X-Men: Apocalypse”

The X-Men have always been some of my favorite superhero films. With the exception of the “Wolverine” films, they’ve always been very well done. I’ll admit the early buzz hasn’t been stellar for this flick, but fingers crossed it exceeds expectations.

“Alice Through the Looking Glass”

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Tim Burton’s first “Alice” film, but I’m still intrigued by this latest installment. Much like the first film, it appears to be visually stunning. So even if it fails in other ways, it’ll be pretty.

“Finding Dory”

I’ll admit I’m really nervous that “Finding Dory” will let us down, but so far it doesn’t look like that will be the case…fingers crossed.

“Ghostbusters”

I can’t get over how amazing this cast is. This film looks amazing, and promises to be the hit of the summer.

Okay, I think I’ve made my point. There are a lot of awesome movies coming out this summer (and this isn’t even half of them), they just didn’t come out in the past week. But don’t worry, we’ll be back next week with the latest installment of our Summer of Blockbusters.
