I wish you didn’t liePoetry: I wish you didn’t lie
I wish you didn’t lieOr hurt me this badBut took a lying daggerAnd your target was my heart
I tried to block with loveBut you had too much strength Was it your pretty face? Or the pretty lies you pretend.
Have you heard that saying? What goes around comes aroundI drowned in deception long enoughMaybe it’s your time to drown
I accept I was a foolBut you can’t fool me twiceYou can spoil my day with guiltI won’t let you spoil my life.
I imagine you faceAll those days you liedDidn’t you feel a bit sad?Our you were so caught up in your pride
Now there is nothing leftThere was nothing from the startI was someone you usedBut I am glad you are out of my life
One thing is for sureYou made me a lot stronger nowYou lost someone who lovedI only lost someone who lied.
