Pop n Go Thomas Review

Posted on the 08 May 2015 by Mummysspace @mmeeee
The twins love trains, especially Zachary who gets very excited when he sees Thomas the Tank engine comes on TV. You can therefore imagine the excitement when Pop n Go Thomas arrived for review. Both the twins excitedly demanded I get the scissors and open it so they could "play choo choo".

Playtime with Thomas

There are two ways to play with Pop n Go Thomas, either by pushing (or in the twins case, racing about with) him while the handle is attached and watching the colourful balls inside pop as you go or by removing the handle, which doubles up as a track, and playing with Thomas as a toy train. Both ways are lots of fun for toddlers which my two have more than proved since we have had the toy.

It is worth noting that the handle can be fixed permanently to Thomas if you would prefer. There are two screws in the base of the handle which can be screwed in to the train to prevent them from coming apart which was happening while the twins were running about with it, but to be fair they were going at quite high speeds so  I am not surprised.

This weekend though they demanded it taken apart again and they have been loving pushing Thomas about the house going "choo choo" as they do. I like the fact that there is this flexibility in the toy as it transforms it into an entirely different form of play when desired is fantastic, almost like two toys in one.

The only problem I have with our Pop n Go Thomas are the fights that emerge between the twins who both want to play with Thomas at the same time but that's normal twin behaviour these days.
You will find Pop n GoThomas in all the usual toy retailers including Argos, Boots and Smyths Toys to name but a few, and online from Amazon with an RRP of £19.99. We can definitely recommend this toy for toddlers.

Happy Birthday Thomas & Friends!

Thomas is definitely a well loved character in nearly all homes with children and he has made many friends and been on many adventures over the years. This year, 2015 is a special one as Thomas and Friends™ is 70 years young! Based on stories of the railways, Thomas and Friends invites children to enter a world of imagination on the island of Sodor. It’s an idealised world created by the Reverend W. Awdry, where trains are powered by steam… and they talk! With a strong community ethos typiďŹed by a universal willingness to help, practice good manners and hard work, Thomas and his friends continue to inspire, excite and entertain children for 70 years and beyond.
Friendship remains at the heart of the brand with more engaging storytelling, more dynamic and compelling content and a whole host of new adventures for Thomas and Friends this year. As well as the launch of series 19 which features the No.1 Blue engine and his familiar friends James, Percy, Emily, Edward, Henry, Gordon, and the Fat Controller, this exciting milestone year sees the release of the mini-series Dinos and Discoveries as well as the new movie Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure.
As children embark on fun and exciting journeys with their engine friends, adventures unfold that lead to timeless fun and discovery.
